IGN has gone live with a new Final Fantasy XVI gameplay video for you to feast your eyes on, this time focussing on an epic dust-up between Clive and the Liquid Flame boss.

Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled for release on June 22, 2023 for PS5. The game will also receive a playable demo prior to release, which will feature the early stages of the upcoming RPG while Clive is still a teenager.
Final Fantasy XVI was originally considered for release on both PS5 & PS4, although producer Naoki Yoshida said that it would have required around one-two years of development to reach a level of quality the team was happy with for a cross-generation release.
Meanwhile, Yoshida-san explained that the game’s Mature rating materialised due to the fact regulations are stricter nowadays due to the increase in visual fidelity in video games.
