  • Kihei Hanawa (portrayed by Hiroki Tochi) – Leader of the Daidoji Faction.

Kiryu will be able to use two forms of combat: Yakuza Style and Agent Style. The former is based on brute force, and sees Kiryu pummelling his enemies with a powerful flurry of punches and kicks. You can also use the environment against your enemies much like classic Yakuza games.

Meanwhile, the Agent Style has players dominating their enemies with sheer speed, using a secret martial art practiced by operatives of the Daidoji Faction. It utilises gadgets to quickly take down enemies, although players are encouraged to switch between both styles to maximise your potential in combat.

In terms of locations, the main two areas in Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name are Sotenbori, Osaka and Isezaki Ijincho, Yokohama. The former is the main setting and the Omni Alliance is in control of certain areas, which means Kiryu has a chance of being recognised. The latter meanwhile is a city near the harbour and is home to the Seiryu Clan, who are targeted by Kiryu as he attempts to solve a case.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is due out on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on November 9, 2023.
