Mike Flanagan Keen To Work With Remedy’s Sam Lake, Is A Huge Alan Wake Fan

Mike Flanagan, the director behind Midnight Mass, has expressed interest in working with Remedy’s Sam Lake, and happens to be a massive fan of both Alan Wake and Control.

Speaking at a panel at the Tribeca Festival 2023, Flanagan and Lake touched base on Alan Wake 2 and the various influences behind both of their projects over the years. And, speaking during a Q&A segment, once audience member asked Flanagan if he and Lake would be up for a collaboration.

Given the writers’ strike, there’s not much going on right now. But in the future, nothing would make me happier.

Lake meanwhile was full of praise for Flanagan and his work, and it’s obvious the pair would make for a great collaboration if something were to happen in the future.

I admire your work. Your characters confront their flaws in terrifying and supernatural circumstances, but through all of your work, there is always hope.

Remedy is currently working on Alan Wake 2 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date set for October 17, 2023.
