Nexon revealed during the Xbox Extended Showcase that its upcoming free-to-play co-op action RPG, The First Descendant will launch in Q4 2023, and that players will get a chance to try it out during an open beta from August 22-28, 2023.
The First Descendant is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, and while the official release window is Q4 2023, the studio does say in the trailer that it hopes to launch this year.

We also get a first look at some new gameplay in the trailer, one of the most exciting aspects being a better look at the grapple hook, and how it really opens up player mobility.
August’s open beta will also support crossplay between consoles and PC, and feature two new characters for players to try out, that had not been previously shown.
